This is public health administrative work at the second supervisory level, directing the planning, development, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of program services in the area of specialization.
Employees in this class prepare program policy and service standards used in the monitoring of management and financial practices, and the evaluation of the delivery of services provided directly by the City or through a consortium of contracted agencies. Significant aspects of the work include frequent contact with other program administrators, managers, specialists, and representatives of contracted and governmental agencies to coordinate program goals and procedures, resolve funding and programmatic issues, and ensure delivery of the appropriate health services, and the supervision of a subordinate administrative, technical, and clerical staff. Work is performed under the direction of an administrative superior.
ALLOCATING FACTORS:Performs the duties described above in adult correctional programs in the City's Prisons' system in the areas of intake and evaluation of client needs, including the appropriate placement of clients into services such as social services and case management, chemical dependency treatment, psychological services and related rehabilitative programs. Serves as the assistant to the divisional director of inmate services for the Philadelphia Prison System.
