This is inventory control work reviewing, analyzing, developing and installing inventory management procedures on a city-wide basis. Work involves preparing inventory reports for materials, supplies, and personal property purchased by city departments. The employee supervises a small subordinate staff involved in the investigation of inventory discrepancies for materials, supplies, and personal property inventory control activities to insure adherence to prescribed standards and procedures. A significant aspect of the work involves interacting with departmental officials to gain acceptance of and adherence to the prescribed inventory standards and procedures. Work is performed under the direction of an administrative superior.

Presently employed by the City of Philadelphia with permanent Civil Service status in the Procurement Department with a Performance Rating of Satisfactory or higher;
Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth school grade;
Five years of inventory or stores experience;
Two years experience as either:
a Stores Manger directing the operation of a centralized supply distribution program for a department or a supply distribution operation with multiple field distribution sites for a department or division; or an Inventory Field Agent performing the investigation of inventory control activities on a city-wide basis;
Any equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience, which has included the educational requirements as stated above as the educational minimum.
