U.S. VETERAN’S PREFERENCE NOTE:
Ten points for veteran’s preference will be added to the scores of eligible veterans who apply for open competitive tests and pass the examination (for concurrent examinations, this applies only to applicants who are not currently employed by the City in a civil service position). You must be honorably discharged from the U.S. armed forces. Attach a DD214, member 4, to your application if you wish your eligibility to be reviewed. Spouses of disabled or deceased veterans may also be considered.

1. EDUCATION:
   Completion of a master's degree program at an accredited college or university in the social or behavioral sciences, education, nursing administration, public health, or public administration.

   AND

2. EXPERIENCE:
   Two years of administrative or technical experience in a public health or social science related program which has involved program planning, evaluation or monitoring and one year of experience performing either counseling, health care teaching or patient care in an AIDS service delivery program in a paid or volunteer capacity.
   

   OR
   One and one half years administrative or technical experience in a public health or social science related program which has included program planning, evaluation or monitoring and six months of experience which has involved program planning, evaluation or monitoring in an AIDS service delivery program in a paid or volunteer capacity.

   AND

3. Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by the Personnel Department which has included the completion of a bachelor's degree as an educational minimum and the specific experience described above.

NOTE: TRANSCRIPT REQUIREMENT

1. Applicants must submit an official copy of their transcripts (or a photocopy of it) with their application, which list the coursework and states the degree granted at time of application. Applications without college transcripts will be disapproved.
2. Candidates receiving degrees from foreign colleges or universities must submit proof of degree as certified by a professional evaluation service.
3. The Personnel Department does not accept computer-generated copies, grade reports or copies of degree conferred.
