DUTIES:

This is specialized revenue collection work performing a variety of projects and activities designed to effect collection of revenues owed to the City.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Presently employed by the City of Philadelphia with permanent Civil Service status in the class of Collection Customer Representative in the Revenue Department with a Performance Rating of Satisfactory or higher;
  2. and

  3. Education equivalent to the completion of the twelfth school grade;
  4. and

  5. Three years of clerical experience;
  6. and

  7. Two years of experience as a Collection Customer Representative involving specialized customer contact in the area of multiple taxes.

NOTE

Applicants must have completed the required proficiency training in multiple taxes and provide certification as issued by the Revenue Department in addition to the education and experience requirements listed above in order to be considered for admission to this examination.

PROJECTED EXAMINATION SCHEDULE

Applicants will be evaluated and scored based upon their training and experience credentials. Applicants will not be asked to appear to take a scheduled examination.


EXAMINATION:

Will be related to the duties of the position and will consist of the following:

Only a departmental promotional eligible list for the Revenue Department will be established as a result of this examination.
