DUTIES:

This is environmental engineering work at the intermediate level, conducting studies and evaluating methods to improve the effectiveness of water quality and treatment or the management of air hazards.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Presently employed by the City of Philadelphia with permanent Civil Service status in the Water Department with a Performance Rating of Satisfactory or higher;
and
2. EDUCATION:
   Completion of a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university with major course work in environmental, chemical, civil or environmental engineering;
and
3. EXPERIENCE:
   One year of engineering experience in the area of specialization.

NOTES

• Completion of a one-year, structured engineering internship will be considered equivalent to six months of engineering experience.
• A master’s degree in the engineering specialty listed above may be substituted for one year of engineering experience.

PROJECTED EXAMINATION SCHEDULE

Applicants will be evaluated and scored based upon their training and experience credentials. Applicants will not be asked to appear to take a scheduled examination.

Seniority Rating = 10%

TEST REVIEW
