CONTINUOUS SELECTION:
Interested candidates may apply in person during business hours, 8:30 AM to 5 PM except Saturdays and Sundays or by mail until further notice. Examinations will be rated in chronological order, and successful candidates will be placed on a consolidated list in the order of their final rating. They will be certified to position vacancies in the order of their standing on the eligible list at the time of certification.

DUTIES:

This is specialized inspectional and enforcement field work gathering facts by inquiry, observation or examination to determine conformance to the provisions of statutes, ordinances, codes, regulations, or standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Presently employed by the City of Philadelphia with permanent Civil Service status in the Department of Licenses & Inspections with a Performance Rating of Satisfactory or higher;
and
2. EDUCATION:
   Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth school grade;
and
3. GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
   One year of experience performing inspectional or investigational work in the field;
and
4. SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:
   One year of performing inspectional and enforcement work testing and certifying the accuracy of weighing, measuring, and counting devices used for all commercial transactions.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR CERTIFICATES

Possession of a valid proper class motor vehicle operator's license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to and during tenure of employment as a L and I Enforcement Officer.

NOTE
