Performance Management

The City's performance management framework seeks to:

  1.          Provide better services for the public
  2.          Inform stakeholders of the City's progress toward key outcomes
  3.          Monitor departments and programs for productivity and cost-savings
  4.          Build the City's capacity to improve performance

PhillyStat and Philly311 are key components of the City's performance management system.  Together, these programs improve the quality, transparency, accountability, and organizational effectiveness of the City's departments.

PhillyStat

The primary role of PhillyStat is to serve as a monitoring tool for departmental goals and outcomes. Two critical responsibilities of PhillyStat are accountability and problem-solving. To this end, PhillyStat encourages transparency and coordination in city government to break down barriers to productivity. In addition, PhillyStat analysts provide data analysis and support to departments.

Please Note:  PhillyStat is on a brief hiatus from its regularly scheduled meetings.  We are working behind the scenes to bring our stakeholders new and improved services.  Meetings are expected to return in January.
