On June 17, the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority (PRA) announced nine recipients of FACE grants from the Percent for Art program. The grants support community-based art projects across the city. The announcement was made at the installation of “Wallpaper of Words,” a project of Centro Nueva Creación in which K-5 students in the Fairhill neighborhood fused self-portraits and poetry onto screen prints that were wheat-pasted onto neighborhood walls. Click here for more information about the program and more photos.
