Business Service Portal
Working with the Department of Commerce and others, the Division of Technology (DoT) developed Philadelphia’s new Business Services Portal, which is designed to make it easier by listing where you have to go, whom you have to see, and what you have to do to open or expand a business. All of the City’s business information (forms, licenses, permits, other guidance, etc.) can be found in one place. The development of the BSP is ongoing, with Phase 2 deployment for April of 2010.

Why are we applying?
We are looking to light this city up with an ultra-high speed network! This will allow our businesses and residents to change the way they interact with technology and each other. The City of Philadelphia intends to apply to Google’s Request for Information for the Google Fiber for Communities program. The key component of Philadelphia’s application is community input about the proposal.
