The Mayor's Office of Community Services has a simple and clear mission. MOCS provides enhanced services to low-income residents of the City of Philadelphia. Established in 1965, MOCS is active in neighborhood transformation, children's advocacy and focused on improving the quality of life and services to those individuals impacted by poverty.
MOCS is a Community Action Agency that uses creative and innovative programming to help people. MOCS provides tools that can be useful to individuals as they work towards self-sufficiency and the realization of their goals and objectives. Through the use of these programs and other organizations, MOCS is leading the fight to eradicate the effects of poverty.
