Mayor Nutter Announces Appointments To The Prison Board Of Trustees
Philadelphia, January 30 - Mayor Michael Nutter announced his seven new appointees to the Prison Board of Trustees: James Duckworth, Dr. David Grande, Richard Harris, Chad Lassiter, Steve Madva, Marcia Makadon and Dorothy Johnson-Speight.
“Together, these seven individuals bring a range of experiences in interacting with the Philadelphia Prisons System,” said Nutter. “Their collective perspective and skills will lend valuable insight into addressing criminal justice issues.”

Mayor Nutter Receives Crime Plan From Police Commissioner Ramsey
Philadelphia, January 30 - Police Commissioner Ramsey released his Crime Strategy for the city of Philadelphia as promised. Per the Commissioner, "It's time to get back to the basics of community policing, to redouble our crime fighting efforts in the toughest neighborhoods, and to work together -- all of us -- to make Philadelphia a safer city."
Mayor Nutter Appoints Dhs Community Oversight Board
Philadelphia, January 29 – Michael A. Nutter announced nine members who will serve on the renewed Department of Human Services Community Oversight Board.
The new board will meet for the first time from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in the Commissioner's conference room on the 8th floor of 1515 Arch St., Philadelphia. more »

Philadelphia, January 29 - Mayor Nutter announced his eight appointees to the Historical Commission:
David Amburn, Leslie Benoliel, Della Clark, Richardson Dilworth III, John Mattioni, Sam Sherman, Denise Smyler and Bob Thomas. Mayor Nutter recommends Sam Sherman to serve as Chair of the Commission. more »
