Our mission is to facilitate strategic and collaborative grant opportunities that align with the Mayor’s priorities in order to increase the amount of federal, state, and philanthropic funding to benefit the City of Philadelphia. This office supports City Departments by working with them to improve coordination and collaboration, to evaluate the effectiveness of grant-funded projects, and to assist with grant writing when appropriate.
All City Department, Office and Agency heads shall comply, and ensure the compliance by their staff, with Executive Order No 2-12 and subsequently issued policies of the Office of Grants: such as the new policy requiring all City departments and agencies to go through this Office to gain approval for all competitive grant applications before they are submitted to federal & state governments or philanthropic entities.
