PREREQUISITE APPROVALS
The need for the following approvals will be determined on submission of the permit application.
Zoning Unit Municipal Services Building (Concourse): Zoning permits are required for new construction, additions and demolition or partial demolition of a property. A Use Registration Permit is required whenever a business use is started on, or in any property. (215-686-2434).
Streets Department Municipal Services Building (7th Floor): when work involves driveways, depressed curbs, parking lots, public garages and projections beyond the building line. (215-686-5501, 5505)
Water Department 1101 Market Street (2nd Floor): For all new construction, fire suppression system installation and for any construction adjacent to or over a Water Department easement or drainage right-of-way (Drainage: 215-592-6270, Water: 215-592-6276).
Art Commission One Parkway - 1515 Arch Street (12th Floor): For all work involving City funds. (215-683-2095).
Fairmount Park Commission Memorial Hall - N. Concourse Drive: For all new residential construction and construction within Fairmount Park (215-685-0015).
Historical Commission One Parkway - 1515 Arch Street (13th Floor): For any work in properties or buildings that have been certified historical (215-686-4590).
Fire Department Fire Administration Building - 3rd & Spring Garden Sts (215-686-1357): For new construction or changes in occupancy of high rise buildings, approval from the Fire Department is required for the location of the Fire Department command station. |
