The Department of Licenses and Inspections strives to be the nation’s leading code enforcement agency by exercising the highest level of integrity in our interpretation and application of the city’s building, maintenance and safety codes. Meet the Commissioner

For over two decades, Carlton Williams has led a distinguished career in public service. He has worked in three major city departments including Fairmount Park, Recreation, and Streets Department. He has earned the respect of his colleagues and made a positive difference in the lives of people.
