Unless you are a member of the Board of Revision of Taxes, the Board of Viewers, or the Chairperson of the Commission on Human Relations, you or your company/organization may contract with the City as long as the contract has nothing to do with your board/commission/task force.
Section 10-102 of the City Charter prohibits City officials “whose salary is paid out of the City Treasury” from soliciting, benefiting from, or having direct or indirect interests in a contract with the City. This provision applies only to the Board of Revision of Taxes, the Board of Viewers, and the Chairperson of the Commission on Human Relations, who receive a salary from the City for their service.
