Planning Under a grant from the Gas Technology Institute (GTI), MEO is working with GTI to coordinate a multi-departmental effort to develop a Sustainable Energy Management Plan. This twelve-month research effort will identify opportunities to maximize progress towards the city's established goals and priority initiatives while increasing energy efficiency and fuel diversity, and decreasing the release of energy-related pollutants into the local and global environment. Cleaner energy sources, technologies and management practices will be considered for use in the plan. (Please check back in the fall of 2004 to download a copy of the plan.) |
