It is the mission of the Victim/Witness Services Unit of the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office to advocate on behalf of all crime victims and witnesses in Philadelphia. We provide direct assistance from the time of arrest through the disposition of a case and after as needed. Our goal is to ensure that victims and witnesses are well informed and treated with compassion and respect.

Information on the Criminal Justice System
Case information and notification
Accompaniment to Court proceedings
Availability of a secure Victim/Witness waiting room
Assistance with written and oral victim impact statements
Assistance with restitution forms
Assistance with harassment/intimidation complaints
Court School mock trial sessions and tours for children
Assistance in filing claims with the Pennsylvania Crime Victim Compensation Board
Assistance with enrollment in the Release Notification and Victim Notification Program
Referrals to community agencies
