Partner With DHCD

To achieve its goals, DHCD partners with both nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

How does DHCD select the groups it partners with? Usually through Requests for Proposals and Qualifications – RFPs and RFQs.

If you’re a developer looking for funding to create affordable housing, keep an eye out for the RFPs we usually issue in the fall. RFPs for services like housing counseling and Neighborhood Advisory Committees are usually issued every three years.

If you are selected to work with DHCD there are some steps you’ll likely have to take.

First, there are Compliance and Equal Opportunity guidelines that you’ll have to follow. And, depending on your contract, you may have to complete an Auditing process.

If you’re a developer building affordable housing, you’ll need to follow the City’s Small Building Specifications if they apply.

It all might sound daunting, but it’s not. And our staff will be more than happy to help.
