Recovery Foundations Training is available to all Department of Behavioral
Health/Mental Retardation Services staff, persons in recovery, family
members and providers. The training is designed to increase participants
understanding of the critical elements of recovery oriented care. An overview
of recovery principles is provided and participants have the opportunity
to explore concrete ways to apply recovery concepts. For more information,
contact Michelle Khan @ 215 685-4768.
Storytelling training is available to persons in recovery and provider staff.
Storytelling training for persons in recovery supports the development of their own recovery story and increases their confidence in sharing their story in public venues. These stories energize and educate the listener and give energy to move the system transformation forward. For further information, contact Ellen Faynberg @ 215 685-5463.
Storytelling training for provider staff is designed to help providers
gain an understanding of the power of story and to explore ways that
storytelling can be used in their settings of practice. The training
includes experiential and didactic components. For further information,
contact Ellen Faynberg @ 215 685-5463.
