The ability of the Department of Behavioral Health and Mental Retardation Services (DBH/MRS) to develop a system of care that promotes recovery, resilience, and self-determination, largely depends upon its workforce. Consequently, we are committed to finding ways to empower and build upon the knowledge and expertise of our staff. The Quality of Work Life Committee (QWLC) was formed as a viable way to involve staff in recommending activities to assist with transformation efforts as well as create consciousness about our everyday work environment. The QWLC is charged with identifying issues and providing recommendations on how to help make DBH/MRS a workplace that promotes a healthy work environment.
