The First Friday Series is a free colloquium series that offers all behavioral health stakeholders (including persons in recovery and their family members, provider staff, advocates, and Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health/Mental Retardation Services staff) information about a variety of programs, services, and approaches (evidence based and promising practice models) that support and advance the Philadelphia Recovery-Oriented System Transformation. Throughout the series, information about current and future system transformation activities is provided, practical ideas about bringing transformation values into daily practice are presented, and stories of what supported people in their recovery are shared. The purpose of the colloquium is to encourage dialogue, foster a learning community, and increase support of individuals, families and organizations in their recovery journey.
