The Holmesburg Recreation Center is a new facility that was dedicated in January 2001.
It is built at the site of the former Crispin School, at Rhawn and Ditman Streets.
The fully air-conditioned center is 4200 S.F. in size and features two large,
dividable activity rooms for maximum utilization. Amenities include a large craft work
space and kiln, kitchen and lockers. The lobby is adorned with a terrazzo floor crafted
to present a map of the Holmesburg area along the Pennypack Creek. Construction
details include high quality and materials that require low maintenance.
The total project cost under $1.2 million.
