Pete Matthews
President, AFSCME DC 33
2013 Campaign Co-Chair

As President of AFSCME District Council 33, I am proud to see the City of Philadelphia Employee Giving Campaign reach an important anniversary. Through the commitment of City employees the Campaign has raised over $36 million in its 30 years of existence. Despite tough economic times Philadelphia City employees have continued to show that they understand the importance of community, and recognize that every donation has the potential to make a great difference, no matter the size.

The Campaign’s success comes from your continued wish to help others. I encourage all employees to take part in this great tradition and help empower our communities with your donations.

Cathy Scott
President, AFSCME DC 47
2013 Campaign Co-Chair

My sixth year as Co-Chair of the Combined Campaign marks the 30th anniversary of the Campaign. The Combined Campaign allows City employees to give back to their communities in a way that supports the causes that are most important to them. The compassion that you have shown has made the Campaign one of the most successful municipal campaigns in the nation.

OAFSCME District Council 47 is proud to be a part of this spirit of giving. For those who continue to support the campaign I offer my thanks. I invite those who have not been involved in the past or who are new to the City to join and help us reach our goal of raising $1 million to help our communities.

Philadelphia City employees have demonstrated a commitment to improving our communities and neighborhoods through the City Combined Campaign. In times like these our City faces a number of challenges, but through the support of the Campaign’s 14 member agencies and donor choice agencies City employees are ensuring that we will have the resources to face those challenges head on.

On behalf of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #5, I congratulate the City of Philadelphia employees and volunteers who have made the City Combined Campaign a success. Thank you in advance for your continued support. Your donations to the Campaign safeguard and enhance our communities.
