BRIAN J. O'Neill is now serving his sixth four-year team as a member of Philadelphia City Council. The son of a Philadelphia Police Officer, Councilman O'Neill is a graduate of Saint Joseph's University (1971) and Widener University Law School (1975). Prior to his election in 1979, he worked as a juvenile probation officer, a law clerk in the Court of Common Pleas and an attorney in private practice. Brian is best known for service and accessibility to his constituents and volunteer work on behalf of local non-profit organizations. He maintains weekly District Office meetings on Monday nights where citizens meet with him personally. Councilman O'Neill has served as President of the National League of Cities, as well as President of the Pennsylvania League of Cities and Municipalities, and remains active with both organizations. |
