Benefits Access

The Mayor’s Commission on Aging Information and Referral office assists seniors with information about programs and benefits for which they may be eligible, depending on the program requirements. They will also assist in applying for benefits such as Property Tax Rebate, Rent Rebate and LIHEAP.

Employment and Financial Services

The Senior community Services Employment Program provides training and supportive services to enable person who are income eligible, aged 55 and over to re-enter the workforce, by providing aging residents leads on job opportunities, supportive services, such as resume writing and evaluation, online job applications and interview preparation.

Food Access

Health and Senior Centers

The Mayor’s Commission on Aging provides information and assistance on identifying services to address the issues impacting the health, welfare and quality of life of senior residents of Philadelphia.

Philadelphia has a network of senior centers that can serve as the place to get a meal, make new friends and gain new interests. Housing Security

The SaveYourHomePhilly hotline is the only government-authorized foreclosure prevention program in Philadelphia. It is staffed by trained lawyers and paralegals who can assist you with your case, connect you with a housing counselor or, in certain instances, refer you to legal services available to eligible low-income homeowners.
