Volunteer Form

A safe corridor volunteer will monitor his or her assigned safe corridor route during the hours around the opening and dismissal of schools every school day. They will observe, document, and report activity along the routes that are suspicious or of concern to them. Volunteers will receive training on observation skills, communication, report writing and the do’s and don’ts of interacting with children. The safe corridor volunteer will wear a safe corridor vest and a photo identification at all times when on the routes, as this will enable the children to easily identify them in case of problems or issues.
