- The hours of operation will be from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. As bounty funds are limited, the first 150 eligible organized groups will be considered for the registration process.
- A flyer and brochure outlining the program have been sent to Block Captains and community/civic organizations. To participate in the program, citizens must call the Philadelphia More Beautiful Committee (PMBC) at 215-685-3981 to register. Only registered Block Captains and organized community/civic organizations who are registered and received an ID number are eligible for participation. The deadline for participants to register is Friday, June 26, 2009. Participants must return their Agreement forms by Monday, July 6, 2009.
- Registered participants are offered a "tire bounty" of $ .50 for each illegally discarded tire they collect and drop off at one of the designated sites around the city. Reimbursement is limited to up to $500 per registered participant. Tires from businesses are not accepted. Only illegally discarded tires found on city streets, sidewalks, etc. are accepted. Tires from auto repair shops, mechanic shops, car dealers and private storage lots are required to be disposed of by the merchant, for a fee. Participants are urged to use their proceeds from the Tire Round-Up Program for worthwhile community projects.
