SWIM FOR LIFE CAMP 2012

The  Swim for Life Camp offers the best of both worlds for boys and girls, ages 9-15 years old, who are interested in swimming.

The camp offers two options for participants:  For campers who already know how to swim, the Competitive Program focuses on   developing all four competitive swim strokes, learning and practicing turns, physical conditioning and the opportunity to compete against other swimmers from throughout the city.

For kids who want to learn how to swim, there is the Instructional Program, which focuses on introducing the campers to the basics of swimming, from overcoming fear of the water to learning the proper swim techniques.

The camp will run from July 2nd thru August 10th. There will be no camp on July 4th.

The two sites will be Cohocksink Recreation Center, located at Cedar and Cambria Streets and Lee Cultural Center, located at 44th and Haverford.

Interested candidates should contact the aquatics office at 215-683-3663 for an application or stop by Cohox or Lee Cultural Center.

Cost of the six week program is $140. Camp runs Monday thru Friday from 8:30a.m. until 1p.m.

Application deadline is Monday, June 11th.
