Air Permitting Forms

Philadelphia businesses must obtain air pollution permits and/or licenses to install or operate equipment that emits or controls air pollution.

  • Process Equipment for Minor Emission Source
    (Paint Spray Booths, Stage 2 Vapor Recovery Units, etc)

  • Air Cleaning Devices for Minor Emission Source
    (Baghouses, Scrubbers, Dust Collectors, CatOx, etc)

  • Dry Cleaning and Ancillary Equipment

  • Internal Combustion Engine
    (Standby/Peak Generators, Emergency Generators, Chillers, Fire Pumps, etc)
  • Mechanical Ventilation Systems for Enclosed Parking Garages
  • Small Natural Gas & No. 2 Fuel Oil Combustion Unit
    (Units rated at 10 MMBTU/hr or greater but less than 50 MMBTU/hr)

  • Volatile Organic Liquid Storage Tank

  • Portable Nonmetallic Mineral Processing Plants
  • Boiler, Warm Air Furnace, and Hot Water Heater
    (Units rated less than 10 MMBTU/hr and burning #2 fuel oil or lighter and combustion units rated at 2.5 MMBTU/hr or less burning #3 fuel oil or heavier)
  • Plan Approval
