Executive Chief Richard Davison

Executive Chief Richard Davison was appointed to the Philadelphia Fire Department in June of 1992. Through the course of his career, he has served in every officer rank from Lieutenant to Battalion Chief; once performing as an Apparatus Officer and three times as Station Captain. In January 2012, he was appointed to Deputy Commissioner with the working title of Executive Chief.

Executive Chief Davison served four years in the United States Navy. He secured an Associate degree in Fire Science with highest honors from the Community College of Philadelphia and a Bachelor’s in Public Safety Administration with high honors from Holy Family University. Executive Chief Davison is currently pursuing a Graduate Degree in Homeland Security from St. Joseph’s University; he has put a strong concentration on service and education throughout his lifetime. As a graduate of the Executive Development Institute at Clark Atlanta University and Leadership Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA., Executive Chief Davison is dedicated to both personal and Department development.

Executive  Chief Richard Davison resides in the East Oaklane section of the city with his wife of 22 years, April and son Jordan.
